Iv bin noticing a whole lot of western imitiation animae lately. Is it real animae of is it just drawings on paper?

Like this cartoon i found. It claims to be about チャーリーブラウン a noble yet gormless warrior who battles against スヌーピー a cunning shinto spirit who takes the form of a dog. But really they don't do much. I don't think it is real animae. What do you think?
